Finweg has been selected as finalist of the BBVA Open Talent competition after presenting its platform of payment solutions on blockchain. The competition is aimed at discovering and strengthening the most innovative and revolutionary financial technology solutions.

The BBVA Open Talent is the largest FinTech competition worldwide, more than 800 startups from 90 countries have participated this year from which 56 finalists from BBVA’s main national markets have been selected (Spain, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico , Paraguay, Peru, Turkey, Uruguay and the USA)

It will be a pitching n September where Finweg will present its project to BBVA executives. After this phase, the final contest will take place at the BBVA Open Summit international event, where only a dozen startups will compete for the prize, an investment of 100,000 € through BBVA Anthemis Venture Creation Partnership. In addition, winners and finalists may enter the online acceleration program, supported by a BBVA mentor.
